Sex therapist Penny Barber is having a session with her client, Kenzie Taylor, conducting a psychological inkblot test. Surprisingly, Kenzie interprets each inkblot as images of naked women, from a lesbian couple passionately kissing to two women in an intimate embrace. Feeling confused by all the female imagery, Kenzie questions Penny's motives. Calmly, Penny clarifies that the interpretations are based on Kenzie's subconscious thoughts and desires. As their conversation deepens, Kenzie starts to realize a buried attraction towards women within herself. Penny bravely discloses her own sexuality as a lesbian, creating a safe environment for Kenzie to further explore her newfound feelings towards women. Overwhelmed by this revelation, Kenzie seeks confirmation of her sexuality by daringly asking Penny for a kiss.
