Every woman's big day should embody her wildest fantasies... yet when Evie (Ember Snow) gazes at the pristine ivory bridal gown lying in front of her, she sees only a sea of fears. Evie hails from a traditional, restrictive family. While they insist they've always had her best interests at heart, Evie has never truly been content with their decisions. This very day, awaiting her close companion and bridesmaid, Leah (Korra Del Rio), Evie senses that all is amiss... notably since she is about to shatter Leah's heart. Upon Leah's arrival, exuding her usual effervescent charm, Evie is wretched as she imparts to Leah that she can no longer fill the role of maid of honor. Leah is taken aback and wounded, yet steadfast in her resolve to uncover the reason behind this abrupt turnaround. Despite Evie's attempts to soften the blow, it swiftly emerges that her folks, as well as the groom's parents, object to Leah being the maid of honor due to her being a transgender woman. Keen on avoiding any potential scandal, with numerous eyes fixated on the nuptials. Leah is seething not solely for herself, but for Evie, weary of witnessing Evie acquiescing to her family's wishes. She merely yearns for Evie to learn to advocate for herself, but it seems Evie lacks the fortitude. Leah is even more wounded that Evie cannot even summon the resolve to defend her.
