Making New Memories

Lucy takes her girls on the grand tour, acting all proud. The moment they hit the bedroom, Kira and Selina start shooting each other the same dirty little smirk. “This is where the magic happens,” Lucy jokes. Selina throws back, “Only if we make the magic first.” That lands. Kira runs her palm across the mattress and laughs, “First item on the checklist—fuck on every horizontal surface.” They keep riffing. “Window seat for the voyeur points,” Selina adds, checking to make sure the blinds open the other way. Lucy feels a flush crawl up her neck. “Counter top in the kitchen’s got height on its side,” Kira suggests. Selina cocks an eyebrow at Lucy. “You’ve got three beds, sis. One for each of us taking turns.” The jokes skid into plans: who wants it first, who’s using their tongue where, how messy they’ll get. Ten minutes into the walk-through and the house tour sounds less like real estate, more like fucking choreography. Kira already has a hand under Lucy’s shirt by the time they remember her new bed sheets still need breaking in. Game plan concrete—strip down, straddle Lucy’s lap, ride till the headboard bangs the wall. Sheets undone before the sun sets, that living-room couch next.
