Some Ground Rules...

Emily steps into the youth shelter office looking nervous as hell. Donna is all smiles and sympathy until the real talk starts. Emily's pregnant, living rough, no clue what comes next. Donna listens, nods, then drops her own problem. She and Alex want a baby but the system keeps saying no. She makes her offer straight up: move in, bills covered, give birth at their place. In return the kid becomes theirs. Emily's eyes go wide, then she nods so fast it almost hurts. Donna warns there are rules, house rules, but Emily's already sold on the dream. She says yes to everything before she even hears the fine print. Next morning she shows up with a duffel bag and a grin. The grin cracks the second Donna and Alex open the door bare-ass naked. Turns out they're nudists, figured mentioning it too soon might spook her. Emily swallows, glances at the street behind her, then steps inside. Free rent beats cold sidewalks. They hand her the first rule: no clothes in the house. Emily strips down, awkward but game. She figures she'll get used to the breeze. What she doesn't know is the list of rules isn't finished yet.
