For teenagers Tyler Cruise and Demi Hawks, a trip to the movies turned into a night filled with fright after watching a horror flick. Despite their stepmother Dana Vespoli's earlier warning, they came back home scared, just as she predicted. Seeking solace, they hurried to Dana's bedroom and nestled close to her for comfort. Despite knowing their fear could have been avoided, Dana embraced her role as a protective parent. She went above and beyond to reassure and ease the anxiety of her dear stepchildren.
