Beth and her partner Frank head to a countryside resort to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. Hoping to rekindle their passion after a rocky period, relaxing in this tranquil setting seems perfect. Disturbed by the absence of others on the premises, they resolve to look for someone.

While exploring, they unknowingly catch someone observing them from afar. Later, regrouping at the lodge, they agree to wait it out. As they settle in, they chance upon a couple, Tommy and Olivia.

To their relief, the newcomers claim to be stranded there. Frank volunteers to aid Olivia with their car, leaving Beth with Tommy. Questioning their partners' delay, they discover Frank and Olivia getting intimate in the car.

Shocked and upset, Beth confronts Tommy. Open about Frank’s infidelity, Beth receives sympathy from Tommy, who hints at revenge. Beth hatches an illicit plan, manipulated by the affair’s impact, but she hesitates.
