Living Well

Two accomplished legal professionals and great pals, Paul (Tommy Pistol) and Brian (Alex Mack), enter a local café. They make their requests to an appealing youthful waitress, Amy (Paige Owens). Both Paul and Brian start to engage Amy flirtatiously – notably Paul, who mentions that he thinks Amy must be a new face there since he would have surely remembered encountering someone so stunning before. Amy appears entertained and complimented, and goes off to prepare their requests. Suddenly, another gentleman strolls into the café. He recalls Brian and presents himself as Jason Black (Clarke Kent), someone who attended the same high school as Brian. Paul looks surprised upon hearing the name. Brian and Jason have a chat to catch up, and Brian then introduces Jason to Paul, mentioning they all attended the same high school – possibly Jason knows Paul as well? Paul cautiously confirms that he did know Jason. Even though Jason appears pleased to connect with Paul, the sentiment doesn't seem reciprocated. As Amy approaches the table, she cheerfully questions Jason about his presence. It happens that Jason is her father, and he joyously makes the introduction of Amy as his incredible little angel, expressing with pride that she's a diligent student with exceptional marks. Jason then informs Amy that Brian and Paul were in the same high school as him, to which Amy seems thrilled about the mini-reunion between the three men. After Amy and Jason step away, leaving Brian and Paul together, Paul seems disgruntled. He discloses to Brian that Jason was his tormentor in high school and made his life unbearable. Paul is still consumed with fury and bitterness about the suffering Jason inflicted upon him. Despite the evidence that Paul is enjoying a much more triumphant life than Jason currently, Paul doesn't find solace in the saying 'living well is the best revenge'. Concocting a scheme, Paul proposes to Brian that a far more gratifying form of retribution would be for both of them to have sex with Amy.
