The Nanny Incident

Mindy’s been busting her ass as a stay-at-home mom and finally decides to get back to work. Her husband John’s glued to his laptop all day, calls the whole idea silly, and acts like she should be happy scrubbing floors forever. Tension simmers, but Mindy hires the nanny anyway. A few weeks later Liz is already handling the kid, the kitchen, the whole damn house. Mindy comes home wrecked, sees dinner on the stove and the place spotless, and feels a tiny wave of relief—until John strolls in grinning like he just won the lottery. He and Liz start joking around like old drinking buddies, and Mindy’s stomach tightens. She wanted him to get on board, not cozy up that fast. Out of nowhere they announce they’ve choreographed a dance to make the baby laugh. Liz hands Mindy her phone, wants it filmed for the internet. Mindy hits record. Liz hops, John catches her, hands planted full on her ass like he owns it. The baby monitor squawks before Mindy can call him out. Later, in bed, Mindy watches the clip on loop, zooms on the grab, feels heat rise between her legs, then guilt. When John climbs in, she shoves the screen in his face and asks if it looks wrong. He flips it—her fault for needing a job, hiring help, then acting jealous when he’s just being friendly. Mindy backs down, tries to patch things with sex that goes nowhere; he can’t finish, rolls off pissed. Mindy heads for the shower. When the water shuts off she hears moaning. Door cracked, she catches John balls-deep in the nanny. Mindy storms in ready to explode. John keeps thrusting, tells her she should’ve expected it hiring a hot live-in girl. Liz adds that plenty of couples like to share a third. Mindy’s anger cracks into something raw. She begs him to stop humiliating her. John pushes back—respect him, try something new, prove she’s not checked out. Liz notices Mindy’s shaky and coaxes her: relax, we both know you liked the video. Mindy swallows hard, then climbs onto the bed.
