Richard is eager for his stepdaughter, Natalie, to move in with him for the summer. Having had limited interaction with her since the wedding, and with his wife away, Richard is responsible for ensuring Natalie feels welcome. Natalie, however, remains distant upon arrival. Despite his attempts at warmth, Natalie's attitude is frosty, making Richard feeling inadequate.While Richard strives to be kind, Natalie proves to be a challenge. Even when he offers to help with her bags, Natalie assumes he doubts her capabilities.The two continuously find themselves in awkward situations. It's almost as if Natalie is intentionally pushing boundaries and hinting at a more intimate relationship.Despite recognizing Natalie's provocative behavior, Richard tries to maintain propriety.
